The API
Send a website form into SoftReply, and file a roadmap request from your own system.
SoftReply has two doors for your own systems. Each answers in plain HTTP status codes, and none needs a SoftReply login.
A form on your website
Forms is a module. Open Forms, choose the form, and open its website door. Add your site's address to the form's allowed origins. Your page then posts what it collected as JSON to the form's own address:
curl -X POST https://app.softreply.com/api/forms/YOUR-FORM-KEY \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Origin: https://www.yourcompany.com" \
-d '{"email": "kari@example.com", "name": "Kari Nordmann", "message": "…"}'It answers 202 with the new intake's id when the form accepts it, 422 with the errors for each field when it does not, 404 when the key or the origin is not one SoftReply knows, and 503 when a receiver behind the form did not answer. The form page shows the exact body for your form's fields.
A roadmap request from your server
Open Settings, then Roadmap, to see your workspace secret. Your server sends it in a header:
curl -X POST https://app.softreply.com/board/YOUR-BOARD-TOKEN/request \
-H "X-Workspace-Secret: YOUR-WORKSPACE-SECRET" \
-d email=person@example.com -d one_line="What they asked for" -d why="Their words"Keep the workspace secret on your server. It is never put in a web page.
